Cheese cloche...hold the cheese... {Thrifty to Nifty #7}

Good afternoon! I guess it's Thrifty to Nifty week here at Maiden D'Shade. Probably because the weather has changed and I had to get as much spray painting in as I could! So today I'm sharing with you a cheese cloche upcycle. I'm certainly not the first one to do this. I first saw this done on Thrifty Decor Chick. She's pretty awesome, as I'm sure you're all aware.

I'm always on the look out for cheese cloches (or at least the lid to them) and candle sticks that could be used for a base. I made this one before my blogging days. The cloche plate and candlestick were a perfect match! They were destined for togetherness.

The one I did this week, not such a perfect pair, but I'll take it :) Because I want a black one.  So I took these and hit them with black spray paint.

I first showed you these here and here.

I used E600 to attach them and ta-da!! Cloche. Yay!

Love them! And the lids work on both! Sweet!

Have a super weekend!

Love it! I recently bought the cheese cloche at a garage sale. It was pretty banged up and I didn't have a plan for it but knew I wanted it. About 6 months ago I bought a chunky candlestick from GW thinking it would make a great base for something. It's been too chunky to work with anything up until now!

Thanks again for the idea!

I love these! I always thought you had to put food in them. Thanks for showing me otherwise. Very cute!

Totally regretting that I didn't buy cloches when I saw them on clearance. Twice! - ERRRR. I just always feel like I don't have counter top space. But you've made them so cute that I'm willing to sacrifice space.
